Default Recording Gameplay?

I've seen some recordings of the gameplay that some of you have taken. How might I go about doing that?

For recording I use Fraps.

And for creating the actual movie I use Adobe Premiere.

Please not that neither of these are free, although Fraps is quite a cheap program that you can buy that is quite efficient. However Premiere can cost you a fair bit of money.

Since GameCam works with guildwars i use it instead of fraps its pretty slick and you dont have to pay anything if you mind not having sound.

Fraps seems to be the better video recorder at the moment. As for encoding I only use VirtualDub as it's king for that,
